After a week of drama at the US Open championship, the field of professional golfers disembarks again. This time, the players of the LIV Golf Series have made the trip across the Atlantic to sunny Spain, host to the league’s next event.

Despite boasting several star names in its roster, the majority of the field will get a view of the beautiful Real Club Valderrama for the first time. Except for the likes of Phil Mickelson, though, who looks set for the weekend at Sotogrande.

Having played for several years in the professional circuit, Mickelson has a great deal of experience across continents. Believe it or not, Mickelson has never finished inside the top-5 in his brief LIV Golf career. Despite being one of the marquee players in the league, the HY Flyers GC captain has failed to win a single LIV event, both individually and as a team.

Yet, Mickelson has shown glimpses of his excellence in the last few months. The three-time Green Jacket winner turned back time for an exhilarating performance in the year’s Masters Tournament, where he secured a joint-runner-up finish.
