“I’m moving to Tallahassee, Florida,” said an ecstatic Ludvig Aberg after a record-breaking victory at the 2023 RSM Classic. Back then, he had moved into fellow Swedish star Vincent Norrman’s house and had rented out his guest room ahead of the 2024 season. But little did he know that his friend would soon grow tired of him, or so he jokes!

“We’re still there,” revealed the pro about his living situation before joking about how his fellow Swedish athlete felt about having him around. “I think Vinny, my roommate, my landlord, is kind of tired of me. I think he wants me out,” said Aberg hilariously in an interview ahead of the 2024 TOUR Championship. The 24-year-old had moved in with Norrman back in 2023 after moving away from Lubbock, where he had spent his years between 2019 and 2022.

The pro then divulged his plans following the TOUR Championship. “We’re kind of looking for other places,” said Aberg, “which is good to have this time coming up and kind of get those things down because you don’t want to move and feel like you want to do it in between tournaments.” The athlete was alluding to the busy schedule that he had been following till now. He also mentioned how moving at such a point in time following the regular season’s end is better than doing it in between events.

The golfer then reiterated how one has “to make sure you have the time and find the right things and the right place,” while hinting at the idea of finding the perfect place to stay. He had, in 2023, shifted to Tallahassee after the RSM Classic win in November, following which Aberg didn’t tee off in any events. The athlete then jumped straight into the current season at the Sentry, where he finished T47 and went ahead to make a total of 18 starts in 2024.

“It will be nice to kind of keep that social connection and social network that I had in college,” added the Swede while referring to his friendship with Norrman, “and to stay with him for a little bit.” Well, Aberg sure did make a level-headed move despite experiencing much success in terms of money (read $12,873,851 in earnings) and glory in 2023.

The then-23-year-old Ludvig Aberg had a total of four top-10 finishes last season with a single win and a runner-up finish, the latter of which came at the Sanderson Farms Championship. Moreover, the golfer had even won his maiden title on the DP World Tour at the 2023 Omega European Masters, not to mention how he helped Europe win the 2023 Ryder Cup.

That’s not all. Aberg has raked in the Ben Hogan award for best collegiate player in the United States twice over the past years and finished top of the PGA Tour University Rankings. Despite such success, he hasn’t started building his dream mansion yet but rented a room from Norrman to make everything easily accessible. And now, as he looks to move again amid a successful year, the question naturally arises: will he hope to make a practical decision yet again or let his money do the talking?
