LIV Golf just wrapped up one of its biggest events of the year. The LIV Golf Team Championship saw Bryson DeChambeau‘s team lift the trophy and take home a whopping 14 million prize money. Sergio Garcia‘s team met their end in the competition after losing to the RangeGoats GC during the semifinals.

The results of this year’s team championship in Miami may not have been of Garcia’s liking, but it looks like the Fireball GC Captain is eyeing next year’s trophy and is gearing up in quite a fiery fashion.

The spooky season is knocking at everyone’s door, and Garcia treated his fan with a blazing trick. The work of a captain is never over, even during the festive season. But the El Nino found a fun way of carrying on his captain’s duties.

To not stop golfing around, the 43-year-old found quite a fun way of lighting up a pumpkin lantern. Garcia has quite a hot take on how to start the next season with the Fireball GCs. The Spanish golfer uploaded a video of him taking a swing at a golf ball lit with fire. 

He also gave the fans and his team an update on the practice session from his backyard. Garcia wrote in the caption “Thinking we try this with the @fireballsgc_  to kick off next season. I’ll have to start practicing in the backyard”

The short video got a mixed set of reactions. Some enjoyed the little stunt and others chose to leave some cold comments on the post. It looks like the light-hearted video was not warm enough for a few netizens.

Fans react to Garcia’s fiery shot

Many fired shots at the shot made by Garcia. The video showcased a playful side of the golfer that met with a lot of disapproval online and many went on to react to the post.

One of the fans thought of the video to be a mockery of the sport and left a sneering comment,

A few viewed Garcia’s video as an unflattering attempt at grabbing the attention of the users.

Amid all the taunts and mockery, there were a few fans who enjoyed the little show that Garcia put up. A fan seemed to have been impressed by Garcia’s skills and could not agree more with the suggestion that was made by the golfer and wrote,

It seems the video was not enough for one of the fans who appeared to have wanted some more action from the major winner. The fan also had a few suggestions for the next trick and commented,
