Tour Veteran Kevin Kisner Makes the Strongest Flex as Jordan Spieth Enjoys a Beer on Him

A birdie on the golf course is a testament to a golfer’s ability and skill. On the other hand, an eagle is an even greater accomplishment. The hole-in-one, however, beats both and is probably the rarest occurrence on the golf course. Also called an ‘ace,’ it’s when a golfer holes the ball straight from the tee. A feat Kevin Kisner recently accomplished for the second time in his career.

The 38-year-old American golfer is currently playing at the Hero World Challenge in Albany.

Kevin Kisner creates history with an ace

In the third round of the event, Kisner played a magnificent shot, sinking the ball straight into the hole right off the tee at the par-3 12th hole. This was the first time anyone had ever made an ace on that hole since the event moved to Albany in 2015.

Soon after the match, Kisner was interviewed about his extraordinary accomplishment. He was asked how many aces he had made “on the tour” throughout his career. The PGA Tour star humbly responded by saying, “Just two.”

The reporter then asked him how many he had in total, to which the golfer responded, “I have no idea.” He claimed he had lost track of the actual number, saying, “Yeah, I mean, I’ve been playing for 35 years, I don’t really remember.”

Kisner’s competition also recognized his glorious shot and congratulated him on it. Jordan Spieth, who walked past Kisner during his interview, looked at him and said, “Hey, nice shot.” As soon as Kevin thanked him, Spieth claimed that he was going to celebrate his shot and said, “I’m about to go have a beer on you.” Kisner hilariously responded, saying, “Ah, shocking.”

Who’s leading the Hero World Challenge?

The unofficial PGA Tour event began on December 1 and saw its third round end yesterday. Despite Kisner’s superb shot on the twelfth hole, the 38-year-old is tied for the 19 place on the leaderboard.

Viktor Hovland, the defending champion sits atop the leaderboard with a 3-stroke lead. Scottie Scheffler is right behind Hovland and undoubtedly looking to overtake him in the final round, after losing to him at the same event last year.
