The Tour Championship had a great start at the East Lake on Thursday. However, the second round was not the same for the 30-player field tournament. The Tour Championship was suspended on August 30 at 5:15 pm ET due to tremendously bad weather conditions. This caused a delay in the play. Eight players were still on the golf course when the suspension occurred.
Play resumed at 6:48 pm, resulting in a pause of 1 hour and 33 minutes. Currently, Scottie Scheffler after the disruption is still in the lead, five strokes ahead of Collin Morikawa, who is at a 21-under after playing 54 strokes at the final event. While Sahith Theegala after a two-stroke penalty follows him on the solo third, four strokes away. Saturday was comparatively calmer, but will the Sunday round have weather conditions as wild as the live action?

The Sunday round does not seem to have much to worry about. According to the AccuWeather report, it says, “Partly sunny with a stray thunderstorm this afternoon”. The temperature will be moderate and is predicted to go as high as 32 degrees and as low as 24 degrees. The wind too, does not seem to be getting in the way.
It will be blowing from the ESE at a speed of 13km/h. However, there might be wind gusts in between the match blowing in at a speed of 19 km/h. Chances of low visibility can be easily omitted since Sunday will have only 38% of cloud cover.
However, prevention is better than cure. So, if you will be going to witness the action live, make sure you carry your umbrella and do all the necessary preparations. Although low, there is a 41% chance of rain and a 25% of thunderstorms at the East Lake during the day. It is predicted to go on for an hour and will be pouring in at a density of 1.4mm. So be prepared!

On the play side of things, Scheffler might be in the lead, but it is only because of the ten-stroke advantage. The dynamics of the leaderboard would have certain tweaks had there been no stroke advantage for the leaders on the standings.

Scottie Scheffler entered the East Lake with an advantage of 10-under, while Xander Schauffele had an 8-under for his second position on the list. Had that not been there, after the 4-under 67 score on Saturday, Collin Morikawa would have been enjoying a one-stroke lead ahead of Scottie Scheffler now.
Without the benefit, Scheffler would have been at a 16-under and Morikawa at a 17-under. Although Sahith Theegala’s third position would have remained unchanged, Xander Schauffele, who is currently in the fourth position would have slipped down to a T8 tying with five other players at an 8-under! But he has been saved by his magical wand of the overall season performance!
