Currently the World No. 2, Dustin Johnson is one the best golfers out there. Not only is his game impressive, but also his style and personality — well-loved by most fans. However, as gets ready to star in the season-ending Tour Championship, Johnson’s new look has left people speechless.

Often found sporting a beard, the 37-year-old icon arrived clean-shaven, everyone unable to get over the sudden change. Of course, DJ remained unbothered.

World No. 2 Dustin Johnson shaves off beard; fans react to the sudden change

While talking to the media before the Tour Championship, Johnson entered without a beard. Now, while everyone is excited for his upcoming event, not many could overlook his clean-shaven look. More often than not, a personality always sporting a beard draws attention when a complete shave alters their look completely.

Johnson remained his usual self, not having much reason behind his new look. “Yeah, well, not me,” Johnson said when asked about the players usually opting for a lucky ‘playoff beard’. “Yesterday I was shaving and I decided it shave it off”.

Fans seemed to be enjoying the change the most. “Guys…why is no one talking about this,” one fan wrote about the look, wondering what they’ve done with DJ. Others mostly discussed how they didn’t recognize him at first glance, while some joked about him preparing for a role or sorts. Some compared him to Dabo Swinney, an American coach.

Previously, he has shaved off his iconic beard during the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational and PGA Championship back in 2016. Back then, though, Johnson had chosen to do so for good luck. He had finished T9 at the British Open but missed the cut eventually.

Johnson is amongst 30 golfers headed to the Tour Championship, their starting scores a result of previous PGA Tour events. The two-time major champion will start three-under and will be playing alongside Rory McIlroy. With countless other golfers in form, Johnson will need to bring his a-game – currently holding an unrivaled 13-season streak at the Tour Championship. Only time will tell if his new look will actually bring him some luck while at the East Lake Golf Course.
