Can Rory McIlroy outshine Scottie Scheffler in this Tour Championship showdown? Who's your pick?

The 2024 season of the PGA Tour will come to an end by the next weekend! From Hideki Matsuyama’s scintillating win at the FedEx St. Jude Championship on August 18—where he defeated World No. 2 Xander Schauffele and Viktor Hovland by 2 strokes—to Keegan Bradley’s heroic on-course presence on Sunday, defeating Sam Burns, Ludvig Aberg, and Adam Scott, the top-30 players in the FedEx Cup standings have been finalized.

Scottie Scheffler will be entering the field with his lead, getting a 10-under-par benefit. While Xander Schauffele is following him in the second position. The ultimate battle is scheduled to take place from August 29 to September 1. The winner will get the title of Player of the Year.

The opening round of the Tour Championship will be held at East Lake in Atlanta on Thursday. The field will be opened by Christiaan Bezuidenhout and Justin Thomas at 11:16 a.m. ET. All 15 players will be teeing off from the front nine.

Well, the final tournament in Georgia has the best saved for last. The World No. 1 and No. 2 will be teeing off together, and their pair will be the final one. It is scheduled to occur at 2:00 p.m. ET, given that there are no interruptions. Here’s what the final field will look like on August 29:

Catch the Tour Championship on the Golf Channel

The Tour Championship, the final stop for the PGA Tour 2024 season, will be streaming on the Golf Channel for all four days. For the first two rounds, stream in from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. For Saturday, they will broadcast the match from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., while for the finale, the timing is 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m..

On Saturday and Sunday, even NBC will be broadcasting the tournament. If you have easier access to it, you can watch the weekend show from 2:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
