The FedEx playoffs have proven to be both challenging and captivating for the PGA Tour players. As only the top 30 golfers have made it to Atlanta for the third leg of the playoffs, the interest surrounding the golf circuit has grown even wider. Now, a PGA Tour pro is thrilled to have qualified for this prestigious tournament. 

Having already arrived in Atlanta, the golfer, who is yet to win a PGA Tour event, is filled with excitement and joy that knows no bounds. He is content to be part of the upcoming $75 Tour Championship, set to take place on Thursday.

Tommy Fleetwood finds being in Atlanta is a little bit sweet

Following a couple of years of being unable to showcase his skills in the FedEx playoffs, particularly in the third event, the six-time European Tour Winner finally received the opportunity to compete in all three events this year. Unfortunately, he couldn’t finish the playoffs last year as his mother passed away. 

However, since his return in October, he has achieved an impressive record of six top-10 finishes, including a remarkable T3 finish at the St. Jude Championship. Qualifying for the final event was an incredible achievement for him, and he couldn’t contain his excitement as he shared the news with his followers on Instagram.

With a smiling face image, he wrote, “After not being here the last few years it makes this week’s qualification into Atlanta that little bit more sweet! Looking forward to giving it my all this week for a good finish to my @pgatour season…💪🏻 #playoffs.”

While the competition for a spot in the top 30 was undoubtedly fierce, Fleetwood found it to be a relatively effortless task. His exceptional performance in the first two playoff events already set him apart from the rest, making it easier for him to secure a spot.

A look into Fleetwood’s FedEx St. Jude and BMW Championships

Fleetwood kicked off his impressive run at the St. Jude competition, delivering a remarkable four-day performance which landed him in a fantastic T3 finish. He showcased his skills and earned a total of 14 strokes, even tying with the renowned Rory McIlroy. Moving on to the BMW Championship, the 32-year-old continued to impress, securing a respectable T25 finish with an impressive score of 3-under-par 277.
