Top five craziest streaks in the history of golf
- At number one is Byron Nelson’s winning streak. He won 11 straight PGA Tour events from March to August 1945. It included the PGA Championship, which happens to be the only major he played that year. Unfortunately, the streak came to an end after his tied-fourth finish at the Memphis Invitational.
- Moving on to second on the list; Tiger Woods holds the record for being the World Number one for the longest time. He holds the record for being the World number one. As a result, he was World Number one for 281 weeks.
- Fairway finder. Calvin Peete holds the record for 10 consecutive years on the PGA Tour from 1981-1990 for being the leader for driving accuracy. in 1993, he hit 1029 fairways out of 1,217. As a result, having a driving percentage of 84.5 percent.
- Fourth is Jim Young Ko’s most bogey-free hole. She broke Tiger’s records which earlier stood at 110 holes. Ko broke the record in 2019 with 114 consecutive bogey-free holes.

- In fifth and final place is most consecutive rounds under-par. For the female professionals, Lydia Ko and Annika Sorenstam hold the record with 29 consecutive rounds under par. However, on the PGA Tour, Tim Petrovic holds the feat with 26 consecutive rounds.

Who holds the record for most major wins?
Jack Nicklaus, also known as the Golden Bear holds the record for most major championship wins. The American professional is an 18-time major championship winner. He has won the Masters six times, the US Open four times, British Open, and the Open 3 times. As well as, the PGA Championship five times.
