It has become a known fact now that the PGA Tour kept the news about the merger under wraps and did not even share it with some of the biggest names on the Tour. Other than Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, there is one more name that was left in the dark, and it is Adam Scott. Other than being one of the most significant golfers, Scott is also the chairman of the PGA Tour’s Player Advisory Council.

Recently, while discussing the merger, the 14-time PGA Tour champion got emotional and said that it seems that everything got done in a very hasty manner. He also spoke about not wanting to run the Tour or expecting the Tour officials to run everything by him, but the decision still seemed like a hasty one.

He also shared insights about the recent Players’ meeting and said that it was better than the previous one. He also expressed his thoughts about how he felt about being told previously that a golfer would not be able to return to the Tour if they defected to the other side. “I’m caught up emotionally because I stayed on the PGA Tour, and it was put to us that if we left, we were never coming back, and it seems there’s going to be pathways back,” he stated.
