Since he has played with many of the former Presidents, Daly knows who plays good golf and who doesn’t. In fact, he had once shared his take on the skills of Donald Trump and Bill Clinton on the Rich Eisen Show.
“He’s too good,” Daly answered the host’s question about whether Donald Trump is a good golfer or not. “He’s a decent player,” the golfer added. Although the 2-time major winner had all praises for Trump, he didn’t have the same opinion about Bill Clinton.
What does John Daly think of Clinton’s golfing ability?
“That’s Mr. Mulligan right there,” Daly said about Clinton. Mulligan is the term used in golf to denote the second shot hit from the same spot when the golfer is not satisfied with his first shot.

The golfer explained that Clinton would hit another ball as soon as he hit the first if he thought the first one was gone wrong. “Well, I’m just here practicing.” Daly described what the former POTUS would say whenever he calls him for hitting mulligans.
Furthermore, when the host asked who he would be looking out on the course, among Clinton and Trump, the golfer was quick to answer. “Oh, Bill. Of course, yeah,” Daly said. He explained that Trump would actually finish the hole and write his score down as a professional would. However, according to Daly, Clinton wouldn’t even finish the hole before he would write his score down.

Interestingly, it was not the only time Daly had ranked Clinton as the worst to play golf with. In an interview with Graham Bensinger, he had shared the same opinion about the game of former POTUS.

Daly enjoys playing golf, whether it is a professional tournament or friendly matches with former Presidents. While he approves of Trump’s skills, he doesn’t think the same for Clinton. However, he seems to enjoy playing with them since he knows it is more of a bonding time than an actual display of skills.
