LIV Golf has been successful in luring out the best of talents from the PGA Tour. Greg Norman’s high-money strategy has worked very well in bringing out the best players to join the LIV Golf league. However, the players’ decision to join the new league has cost them a lot of fans within the last few months. But unlike most of them, Sergio Garcia has no worries about the hate.

Sergio Garcia gives a bold message to LIV Golf haters

Garcia is very happy with LIV Golf’s new formats and better money. He is currently focused on making the best out of his game playing in the new league. Meanwhile, he is also expecting some tension at the upcoming BMW PGA Championship for himself as well as other LIV Golf rebels.

Garcia was in an interview during the LIV Golf Boston Invitational on Saturday discussing the $8 million BMW PGA at Wentworth. According to a legal decision of the UK, 18 payers including Garcia will be competing at the BMW PGA Championship in England. Talking about the expected tension, he said“I’m sure some guys will be tense about it [because] we’re going to go out there and play; what I’m going to do is support the European tour and that’s all I can do. Whoever doesn’t like it, too bad for them,”

Garcia’s statements were about fans against the fact that LIV Golf players are playing on the DP World Tour. But more than that, his words were an indirect taunt to PGA golfers who will compete with LIV players. Garcia will be showing up at the event along with Patrick Reed, Abraham Ancer, Kevin Na, Ian Poulter, etc.

LIV has been clear with its strategies to bring in players from the PGA Tour by offering them better money. Although their strategy hasn’t worked on all players, Garcia is happy with his decision to transition to LIV. “It’s been great…I’m very happy with everything we’re doing” he said. It would be interesting to see LIV Golf players competing head to head with their old PGA Tour fellows at the upcoming event.
