This is not the first time that Tony Finau will be playing at the Tiger Woods-hosted Hero World Challenge. He has done it before as well, once with a very expensive and famous caddie, Ryan Smith, in 2021. However, this year, for unknown reasons, Finau was not among the top choices for the event. But a couple of weeks ago, when Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele suddenly pulled out of the event, it gave Finau a chance to play.
Taking the matter into his own hands, Woods stepped in, and along with his own awaited comeback, he brought Justin Rose and Tony Finau in as replacements. Now Finau returns to the Bahamas once again, with a well-packed golf bag well. So let’s find out what’s in it!

The upcoming Hero World Challenge next weekend features the best 20 top-rank golfers in the world. The purse is small, but the players play for prestige. Money from this event will go to the Tiger Woods Foundation. This year, Tony Finau has the opportunity to express his might, and for this purpose, he will be using a mix of Nike, Callaway, and Ping equipment.
Tony Finau’s choice of driver is the Ping G425 LST, 7 degrees, with a Mitsubishi Diamana D+ Limited 70 TX shaft. In driving, Burns ranks 36th overall on the Tour, and he undoubtedly owes that to his Ping long-range club. His driving distance is at a value of 304.2, and his longest driving accuracy is 60.70%.
For his fairway woods, he depends on the Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond T, 14 degrees. They come with the Mitsubishi Diamana D+ Limited 80 TX shaft. In his career so far, Finau has made 14 consecutive fairway hits, and with his Callaway club, he is bound to make a lot more.
Finau uses wedges from Ping and Titleist. He uses the Ping Glide 4.0 (50-12, 56-12), which sells for $100, and the Titleist Vokey Design WedgeWorks Proto (60T), which retails for $225. The six-time PGA Tour winner has been using these models for a long time now, and it shows that he lives by the “old is gold” maxim when it comes to his wedges.

The putter of choice of the Arizona-based golfer is Ping PLD Anser 2 Prototype. Finau is among the quiet lows, ranks 125th on the tour’s list, and has a field average of 1.755. For his ball, Burns uses the Titleist Pro V1 Left Dot, and like his irons, his apparel also comes from Nike. All these gears will definitely be a big aid for him in Albany, Bahamas.
