What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Well, apparently the same doesn’t ring true for New Orloeans, at least not for Smylie Kaufman! In the recent episode of The Smylie Show, the PGA Tour star sat down with 2-time major winner Collin Morikawa to recite a story that may leave you on the fence of ‘haha’ and ‘ew’! While talking about the city’s famous “char-grilled oysters” with Morikawa, Kaufman dropped his “best New Orleans story” yet.

There’s no doubt Kaufman has some wild stories! Undoubtedly, many may even include his close friend Rickie Fowler, with whom he often travels and vacations, as is proved by his Instagram. This one story, however, was one of himself… and nature’s call.

Collin Morikawa reveals his pet peeve after Kaufman’s hilarious story

Kaufman was playing at the Zurich Classic in New Orleans back in the day, alongside Davis Thompson and four-time PGA Tour winner Charley Hoffman. Everything was going right until it was not. “A rough start with the stomach, and on the 12th Tee, porta potty right over there, I needed to go,”  said Kaufman in the video. While in some situations one could get away with not using the porta-potties, sadly for the host, that was not one such time. And to make matters worse, he stepped out of the mobile toilet with a surprise!

“And come out, hit my tee shot; had no idea, and Davis Thompson and Charlie Hoffman, being the old veterans that they are, they told me I had toilet paper draped on the back of my belt loop! Kaufman said, reminiscing about his embarrassing moment. Morikawa couldn’t help but crack up thanks to the hilarious incident, but it was far from enough for him to hide his disgust for porta porties!

The PGA Tour star explained how he had never used a porta potty before in his life and that he wished to keep it that way. “I don’t think I’ll ever take a deuce at a porta potty; I don’t think I ever have,” said Morikawa with certainty. Reiterating his repulsion for portable toilets, he said he’d rather go in a “bush” or even “squat on the side” than use one. “Those porta potties are disgusting, like absolute sh*t!” he exclaimed.

Notably, this was not the first time Kaufman left everyone in stitches with a hilarious tale. Known for his humor, the golf pro often has quips and funny stories, be it on his show or on Twitter. And earlier this year, he had one too, when Tom Kim was caught running to his tee!

Kaufman applauds Kim’s potential “correct” choice

Earlier this year, at the Genesis Invitational, Tom Kim was set to play alongside Rickie Fowler at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California. The duo were to tee off at 11 a.m. Minutes ahead  of their tee time, however, Kim was nowhere to be seen! However, seconds later, he suddenly appeared, hurriedly running from the clubhouse to the first tee time, in an attempt to avoid a forfeit. When the video of the youngster rushing to make his tee time went viral, Kaufman didn’t hesitate to add his humorous touch.

The 32-year-old took to Twitter to joke that it seemed like Kim had chosen to order a hot meal rather than settle for a cold breakfast that morning! According to Kaufman, despite the delay, it was the right decision. “It’s a tough decision but undoubtedly the correct one,” he hilariously added.
