Sometimes the golf world brings together two of the most unexpected people to much amusement. In this case, it’s Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas, two completely different PGA Tour icons. While their friendship might not be known to many, Thomas’ view regarding Woods has always remained unparalleled.
Thomas’ most recent interviews about Woods have revolved around his recovery and return, which was at the recent PNC Championship with his son Charlie.
The way the younger golfer speaks is the perfect insight into their relationship, which includes plenty of playfulness. Of course, them being friends does not mean Thomas should agree with everything the PGA Tour legend follows or followed.

What does Justin Thomas have to say about Tiger Woods’ morning routine?
Woods’ success on the court seems to be followed by an elaborate routine that starts hours earlier. “Well, Tiger’s a weirdo,” Thomas stated. “It doesn’t really count. He doesn’t sleep anyway.”

Thomas was comparing his routine to Woods’. By the looks of it, not everyone might be up for Woods and his morning workouts. Though Woods’ tee time was at 9:02 AM, the 46-year-old star would be up at 3:45 AM. His schedule included breakfast and hitting balls. In 2019, it helped him secure his 15th major title at the Masters.
How long have the two friends been discussing routines?
Apparently, both Woods and Thomas have spoken about routines before in 2018. Thomas asked Woods about his crazy routine when he was younger while on a plane, and the latter indulged his friend. “Well, I used to get up in the morning, run four miles,” Woods explained, adding that he would then lift before hitting balls for two to three hours.

Then he would play, work on his short game, run four miles again, and then look to play basketball or tennis with someone. “That was my daily routine,” he said.

While the routine sounded rather strenuous to the usual ear, it seemed to work for Woods when it did. Now, however, it might be all too crazy for the 82-time PGA Tour winner to follow, given his recent stint with injury.
