Tiger Woods’s TGL Gains Unexpected Support from LPGA Legend Amid Fans’ Skeptical Remarks: ‘So Excited’

The TGL is in the limelight again! Tiger Woods & Rory McIlroy’s simulation golf league is set to begin in a few weeks. The state-of-the-art technology introduced by the two golf legends may change the way the game is played forever.

However, despite the unique approach, it has received a lot of criticism ever since it was announced. Fans have been questioning the quality of golf it might present while also stating that it might destroy traditional golf.

Even some players who are going to be a part of the first season of TGL have had reservations about it. More recently, the New York Golf Club player, Rickie Fowler had suggested that he was unsure of how the tournament would play out.

While making an appearance in The Smylie Show podcast, Fowler stated that the TGL “is not real golf,” which received a lot of negative reactions from the fans. Despite facing a disappointing response from one of their players, Tiger Woods & Rory McIlroy still received support from an ex-LPGA Tour pro who was amazed by what she saw. Touted as the Tiger Woods of the LPGA Tour at one point in her career, the woman in question is Michelle Wie West.

In a story on her Instagram a few hours ago, West shared a video from inside the TGL auditorium at the SoFi Center. The video showed the rotating green as a couple of individuals walked over it. The video also had a couple of captions, the first one being “This rotating green 🤯” which was originally posted by @golfoncbs. West added another caption under it saying, “So excited for this!!! @wearelagc” indicating that she can’t wait for the event to begin.

The TGL setup has caught Michelle Wie West’s imagination. It’s great to see that the trailblazing technology still gets such reactions from first-time viewers. But considering Rickie Fowler‘s comments about it, only time will tell how it will play out during the tournament.

West is not the only one to have such a positive reaction to looking at the TGL’s course. There are a few others who have been left impressed by Tiger Woods & Rory McIlroy’s imagination.

Something so new and different like Tiger Woods & Rory McIlroy’s TGL was bound to be at the receiving end of mixed reactions before its launch. But some insiders from the community had very positive things to say about it. For instance, the hosts of the Fore Play podcast shared a video on their Instagram discussing the TGL more than 24 hours ago with the caption, “We were blown away by our first look at the TGL’s SoFi Center”

Famous artist DJ Khaled also shared Tiger Woods’s drive on the simulator on his Instagram account saying “It’s a new world 🌍 and it’s new golf ⛳️ @tglgolf LOVE PEACE HAPPINESS AND GOLF !!!!!!!!!” The fans who have commented on videos sharing glimpses of the indoor golf course also had many positive things to say about the entire setup.
