Tiger Woods’ Sun Day Red has launched a new collection! The apparel brand has introduced the ‘Jupiter Collection’, inspired by the place where legendary golfer currently resides in. The collection includes a set of polos, hoodies, hats, ball markers, pants, and shorts. The Jupiter Collection is inspired by the colors of the infamous sunsets of Jupiter, Florida.

Why was the collection named Jupiter apart from the fact that it has been the 15-time major winner’s home? Well, the brand explained the reason behind it in an introduction post on X. The caption read, “A town synonymous with those who love the grind. A place where, any day, you can seek out a game to measure yourself against the best of the best.”

This is the fourth collection released by the clothing brand after The Hunt, All Things Red, and The Brave. For all four collections, one thing has been common: the undying criticism that has followed the drop.

This time, too, fans were heavily critical of Woods’s attempts to grow his brand. Unlike the love that he received during his collaborations with Nike, this time, things have not been working for Woods’s brainchild with TaylorMade. Fans seemed to have found the products low quality and overpriced.

Many fans questioned the reason for the Sun Day Red logo’s absence from the t-shirts and polos. Apart from being expensive, this became another reason why they wouldn’t purchase the product. One fan complained, “Again with no logo visible present. Trying very hard not to sound like a complainer here but the marketing/design team all need fired. No way I’m dropping hundreds for gear without a logo. I’ll stick to eBay for the vintage Nike TW stuff, until this problem gets resolved.”

This user took a dig at Woods’s collection and its over-the-board prices. One polo of the Jupiter Collection costs $120 whereas a ball marker is $50. This fan mocked the quality of Woods’s brands and jokingly said, “I could find those polos at a thrift store this afternoon for $3.” Another reciprocated a similar stance on the expensive clothing line and said, “I know celebrity clothing lines will always be expensive, but seeeeesh This is crazy.”

Although many complained about the designs and the dull color scheme that the Jupiter Collection had, one fan actually liked it. However, they were enraged that it was expensive. In comparison, Woods’s and Nike’s clothes are now available for less than $100 on even Nike’s website. Many could not understand the price point of Sun Day Red and in frustration, this user exclaimed, “Fu*k you and your prices Tiger because these colors look fantastic. B*st*rd.”

Clothes and markers from Sun Day Red seem to be on the expensive side when compared to the average market value. For example, a TaylorMade ball marker costs around $10, while an SDR ball marker retails at $50. Similarly, TW’s Nike line also costs less than SDR’s. This golf enthusiast noticed this and wrote, “Your stuff is insanely overpriced. If it was on par w/how much the Nike stuff cost, or preferably a bit less expensive, I’d have purchased hats & polos. Just not happening at these prices.” Another user found the pricing points for the products borderline amusing. They commented, “This is so out of touch it’s really enjoyable.”

The overall reaction to Tiger Woods’s Jupiter Collection has been negative. While the golf world disregards the new apparel, what are your thoughts on it? Let us know in the comments.
