“LIV is not going to go anywhere. LIV is just going to get better and better and better, and LIV Golf has only just begun,” said the LIV commissioner. According to Norman, the PGA players have benefitted a lot because of the existence of LIV. The Saudi-backed tour is becoming a leader; because of it, they increased the purse for PIP, or else it would have never happened. Therefore, the legendary PGA golfers should be grateful.
He said, “Every PGA TOUR player should be thanking LIV, including Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy because the PIP program wouldn’t have been increased without LIV.”
The great white shark of golf kept counting the changes PGA made to retain the players and make them stay. The prize money increased because of LIV. They raised PIP prize money to curate players’ interest, and Woods won. They included many benefits and perks for the PGA players because LIV felt like a threat. According to Norman, competition is the best thing, and LIV will keep improving.

Two-time Open winner Norman supported the plea of Smith that there should be no politics when it comes to the masters championship. According to Norman, the major should “stay Switzerland.” He suggested authoritative bodies should refrain from taking sides with any player or tour because they have the broadcaster to answer to. Therefore, Masters, Open, U.S. Open, and PGA of America should be unbiased.
However, all the efforts were made before their invitational in Jeddah, and LIV announced an alliance with the MENA Tour. As a result, it gave confidence in Norman that his superstar players would get the points in their 54-hole events, which are required to qualify for major championships.
