What happened at 34th Ryder Cup?

Woods’ mother influenced him to adopt Buddhism at a young age. He said Buddhism taught him that creating anything outside yourself caused unhappiness. He also learned restraint, and not to follow every impulse. But sometimes, certain situations just get push a person over the edge.

In 2002, during the Ryder Cup, Tiger Woods lost his cool because of a photographer. He disturbed him while he was playing a shot, as he was trying to click his pictures. Woods angrily shouted at him and said, “Not on my swing, no way! Golly, for Christ’s sake!”. This disturbance cost him the game as his ball flew to the greenside bunker.

Woods partnered with Paul Azinger in the opening four-ball math and played against Europe’s Darren Clarke and Thomas Bjorn. He sent his ball running through the green and could not complete the hole. Clark’s nine-foot birdie putt was the winning shot of the match. This was an advantage for the European team, finishing round one.

The 2002 Ryder Cup was not the only instance of Woods’ anger. Another similar incident happened recently during the PGA Championship. We again saw woods in a rage, and the reason was the same, a photographer. He was playing with his shot and felt suffocated by the photographer. Woods demanded some breathing space.

Woods lost his temper at Southern Hills when he got involved in a heated argument with a TV cameraman right after his opening tee shot at the PGA Championship. He was not happy with the camera’s proximity. His big comeback after the brutal accident almost cost him his right leg.

The former No. 1 was making his way down to the tee box after striking a stinger of a drive down the middle of the 10th fairway. Cameras were glued to him, and he did not like it. He asked the cameraman if he would mind giving him some breathing space. He repeated the same thing in a raised voice.
