As we usher in another year, it is always a nostalgic feeling to look back at all the amazing memories that went down in the year we bid goodbye to. Moreover, after the covid-19 pandemic hampering the 2020 season and leading to some major disappointments, 2021 definitely gave us more than we could have hoped for. And as we all reflect on our own best moments from the year, Paige Spiranac hops on to the trend to reveal hers.

She started off the one-minute clip by talking about the fourth on her list of ‘incredible moments’; the Majors. Paige said, “Every single major had an incredible story line. From Hideki Matsuyama winning the Masters to Phil Mickelson coming out of nowhere to win the PGA. John Rahm coming back from covid for the U.S. Open and Collin Morikawa winning the Open. It doesn’t get much better than that.”

When she summarizes it that way, we can’t help but agree that the past year was truly an amazing one for majors! We hope that this year, too, the deserving golfers finally get their share of this glorious achievement. And who knows, perhaps Tiger Woods will be a part of it!

Bagging the third spot on her list was the young American sensation, Nelly Korda. We’re quite sure she was a highlight of most people’s year with her incredibly stunning performances. Paige said, “From all the tournaments that she won, to the gold medal, to being world number 1! I want her swing, so badly!” Trust us Paige, we all do.

Next is ‘USA dominating Europe’, a reference to the crushing and record-smashing victory of team USA in the Ryder Cup. Subsequently, she thinks this trend is here to say. She said, “I think we’re going to see that more come in the future because of all the young guns on the US side.”

“And to wrap up this list at number 1… Tiger Woods, with the comeback! Playing the PNC Championship with his son Charlie. You loved to see it,” said Paige. Undeniably, this was the moment the world of sports was waiting for the entire year. Not just on the best of golf, this moment deserves a spot on the non-discipline specific sports list.
