The World Wide Technology Championship was moved from Mayakoba Resort to Diamante Cabo San Lucas after 16 years of partnership as LIV Golf made a multi-year agreement with the same GC and the PGA Tour canceled its agreement.

Tiger Woods has not made his comeback on the course, yet the legendary golfer is set to make another kind of debut with the PGA Tour. The newest PGA Tour and Tiger Woods collaboration will host the World Wide Technology Championship in El Cardonal, Diamante, Mexico, a TGR Design creation.

Tiger Woods’ TGR venture’s first-ever completed design course El Cardonal is set to host the WWT Championship. This will be the fourth event in the PGA Tour’s fall season. The El Cardonal course was opened in 2014. This will become the first-ever TGR course to host a PGA event.

The PGA Tour’s oath of not working with organizations who do business with the breakaway Saudi-backed league has granted Woods the opportunity to expand his impact on the Tour. The 82-time PGA Tour winner commented on how he designed the course and said, “I set up the golf strategy to make golfers think and make choices.

Additionally, Woods added that every hole will serve as a different experience for golfers. “There are going to be different ways to play every hole. Angles of approach are going to be very important and will dictate the type of shots you should consider. I love this kind of golf.”

Woods has designed one more course at Diamante. The Oasis Short Course is a 12-hole par-3 course that is suitable for beginners and practice. Tiger Woods may not grace the PGA Tour events any time soon, but the business ventures of the billionaire seem promising.

Meanwhile, doubts about what actually happened three years ago turned fans’ minds to another incident that happened way back in 2017. A well-known author added his own take on the speculations and shared why he finds it hard to believe some of the explanations.

Tiger Woods’ near-death accident stirs doubts

It was a morning that shocked golf fans. Woods’s car had gone off the highway, rolling over several times. The responders had to use tools to get the golfer out of the car. Woods had suffered some serious injuries to his legs. Now, after 3 years, Best Seller author, Alan Shipnuck, questioned the actual reason for the fatal car crash.

Shipnuck doubts Woods fell asleep or was using his phone, as was reported at the time. He said, “He was on a residential twisty street speed limit of 40 miles an hour, going in the mid-eighties, that cannot happen if you were distracted by your phone. Or if you fell asleep, as some people speculated.”

It is unclear whether Shipnuck was drawing on the 2017 incident in Florida, when Woods was arrested for driving under the influence. However, the police report has laid rest to these speculations.
