After the sudden demise of Kultida Woods, the golf world was left in tremendous shock. But the saddest person was her son, who lost his biggest supporter. Tida was even present at the last two games of Tiger Woods at TGL. Woods’s return to TGL was a tough one for him. He shared the difficulty he felt while heading to the venue, “Well, I think that she really enjoyed watching me play. It was awesome to have her in the stands watching us play and having the kids here and family and friends. I had a hard time driving down here.” Despite the hard route, he teed off at the SoFi center, but what are his plans for the PGA Tour?

Earlier, he confirmed his participation at the Genesis Invitational but later withdrew, citing that he still needs more time to overcome his grief. “I really haven’t thought about golf, so I don’t think I’m going to be thinking about it for just a little bit here,” shared Woods. However, he made a surprise visit to Torrey Pines for the last round, which left fans with joy. He shared that he will be making more appearances soon. But, he left the fruit hanging, as he did not clarify which event he would be participating in.

Enter, Eamon Lynch, who shared the best strategic event that could benefit the Big Cat with his debut for the 2025 schedule. In a recent video of Golf Today, Lynch was asked to share advice about Woods’s participation and where would he get his best chance to get 83 wins and separate himself from Sam Snead.

Without a moment of hesitance, Lynch said, “Bay Hills.”  He believes that the level of play in that event is similar to that of the US Open, and something that the Palmer family had always aimed at. But, for someone who has not been playing competitive golf for quite some time is it a fair playing field? No! But, Tiger has won that event 8 times, which is why Lynch believes that this would give him an advantage as he has a strong amount of “institutional knowledge” regarding the course.

Even further, he shared, “It’s just an enormous leg up versus what he would have to do on a course where he doesn’t have a particular level of familiarity.” Following the discussion shared about the adversity of facing the players who are mentally prepared for the US Open style and with Woods’s age, it would be exhausting by the end of the course. But, the golfer has not shared any confirmation about his presence at the course as of yet.
