USGA and R&A’s ruling proposal has divided the golf world into two parts. Some support the callback rule, and others are strictly against it. We did not receive any fresh statement from Tiger Woods, but he made his point of view clear as a day in 2017 itself. And now, another PGA Tour pro, Max Homa, has spoken about it. But in his own signature style of fun. It could not get any better than this. What did he say?

What did Tiger Woods say about the ruling proposal?

The time has not been great for Tiger Woods, as his expensive lawsuit split is dawning on him. But as already mentioned, we have not heard from the former number-one golfer regarding the rule. But he already put forward his views years ago. The Golf Digest resurfaced his statement from 2017. He said, “My idea was to have it so that every professional would have to play a reduced-flight ball.” The pro golfer added, “Even if you played a pro member, you would have a reduced-flight ball for the pro… whereas the amateur, go ahead and make it fun, juice the golf balls up, juice the clubs up, and let them go have a great time.

Even though Woods supported the rule years ago, his sibling- like golfer Justin Thomas is strictly against it. At the Valspar Championship, he said, “My reaction was disappointed and also not surprised, to be honest.” He added, “I think the USGA over the years has — in my eyes, it’s harsh, but made some pretty selfish decisions.” Even the former professional golfer, Paige Spiranac, showed a red flag to the rule. She tweeted, “Golf is weird. Let’s not have the guys on tour wear shorts but instead make the golf ball go shorter.”
