Tiger Woods is indisputably one of the best of all time. Recently, he was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. Moreover, it was a special moment for him as his daughter Sam introduced him at the event. Additionally, Woods had his entire family with him, making the occasion even more special for him. 

Notably, Tiger was probably the most deserving golfer who was yet to get into the Hall of Fame. But thankfully, it has happened, and the 15-time major championship winner will also be called Hall of Famer. However, this journey hasn’t been easy as there were plenty of dark phases in his career. So let us see how he recovered from one of the darkest periods of his life.

How Tiger Woods fights one of the darkest moments of his life

Tiger Woods gave an interview to NBC Sports after getting into the World Golf Hall of Fame. Woods went through a dark phase where he was suffering from a lower back injury in 2016. Hence, everyone had said Tiger wouldn’t be making a comeback. The interviewer asked Woods how he managed to return from the darkest moment of his life. Additionally, he asked the golfer whether he would win any event again.

“No, absolutely. Absolutely,” said Tiger“Because I was literally lying there for months. I just couldn’t do it. I just couldn’t walk. I couldn’t get up. Yes, those are the darkest moments because my golfing career was done,” revealed Tiger. He only thought of getting back to his normal life, where he could go and watch his kids compete in their sports.

So it was frustrating to not participate and watch his kids play soccer or other sport. However, when they understood the diagnosis and cure for his injury, it was difficult for him to compete again on the tour. “It was also a death sentence because no one has ever made a comeback from a fused lower back,” said Tiger.

But Tiger, with his determination and hard work, made an incredible comeback on the PGA Tour and has won three trophies, including Masters in 2019.
