The 15-time major championship winner spoke about the same in an interview in 2020. In a video conference interview amid a lockdown, he spoke to Golf Digest’s Henni Zuel. Notably, Tiger talked about adapting to the lockdown lifestyle, staying inside his house with his family, and much more.
The World Golf Hall of Fame member also spoke about the Masters’ dinner, which is hosted every year before the major championship event. Past champions attend the get-together, and the players lighten up before the event starts.
Woods spoke about how tough it is to get into the club of the particular dinner. He also provided an insight into how needling happens during the champion’s feast.

The former World No. 1 spoke about the same when Henni asked him what he missed about the 2020 Masters. Tiger said, “I was telling my kids and Erica last night that how special yesterday was in the Masters because it is the hardest club to get into that dinner. And the stories that are told, the needling that occurs. I was lucky enough to have had Gene Sarazen and Sam Snead and Byron Nelson still alive when I won.”
He added, “So I missed the needling that goes on. People just hammer each other with jabs, and they’re priceless. You know and they go back and they compare so and so’s win in the 50s how much harder it was then in the 2000s and we go back and forth.”
