In an interview with Golf Digest, Tiger Woods delves a little into what it is about other athletes in different sports that amazes him in comparison and what he tends to share in common with these athletes as well.
What does Tiger Woods admire commonly in all athletes?
In conversation with Henni Zuel, Tiger goes on to explain, “It’s one of the things that I can. I truly love being around other sportsmen, how competitive they are, no matter what they do, because that’s what’s allowed them to get to that level. You have to have that type of drive and that type of willingness to put yourself out there and understand you’re going to have a lot of successes and you’re gonna have a lot of failures, but keep putting yourself out there.”
Truly the words of someone who has seen his fair share of battles and more successes than failures that are worth counting.

When asked what he found as a trait that he would say resonates commonly through all major athletes, Tiger replies, “I’ll say commitment, commitment to the process of trying to get better. Doesn’t happen overnight. The people see the game time, you know what actually happens during the game. But all the stuff that happens pregame, or it’s the practice that leads up into it or it’s the offseason training, the gym work, the amount of weights you gotta push. It’s so much!”

There’s no doubting that Tiger does get around a lot with athletes from every kind of sport when he goes on to say statements as such. From NFL stars to basketball legends, even the great Muhammad Ali himself has taken a jab at Woods, as mentioned earlier in the same interview.
