Tiger Woods Once Made a Heartwarming Gesture of $54 Million for His Ex, the Skiing Legend

Tiger Woods is not an ordinary man; his career statistics are a testament to that. The golfer has won 100+ titles, including 15 majors and 18 World Golf Championships. However, did you know that he is not an ordinary boyfriend either?

After his divorce from his ex-wife Elin Nordegren, Woods officially dated Lindsey Vonn for three years. Vonn is a three-time Winter Olympic medal winner and eight-time world championship medal winner in skiing. 

The two broke up as they didn’t have time to be with each other due to their busy schedules. However, they still created a lot of wonderful memories when they were together, with the kind gesture from Woods being the most glorious one.

Vonn has retired from professional skiing now. However, she was once one of, if not the, most successful skiers in America. Nevertheless, she got a knee injury during the 2013 Alpine Skiing World Championship in Austria and had to be taken to the hospital in a helicopter. 

Notably, Vonn and the golfer weren’t a couple officially. Yet, Woods sent his private jet, worth $54 million, to take her back to America for her much-needed surgery. 

“I will always cherish the memories that we’ve created together. Unfortunately, we both lead incredibly hectic lives that force us to spend a majority of our time apart.” The Olympic medalist announced their breakup with the public through a social media post in 2015.

However, they decided to remain friends and haven’t been shy to talk about each other in public. “It was a tough time for him. So I am just happy that he is back with his kids,” Vonn said about her ex-boyfriend after he survived the accident in 2021. 

Is Woods in a relationship? 

Woods has been in a relationship with his girlfriend, Erica Herman, since 2017. Herman used to work as the general manager of The Woods Jupiter, a restaurant the golfer has invested in. According to reports, they met each other in 2015 while working together. 

Herman stayed with his side while the golfer struggled to recover from her nearly fatal car crash. And reportedly, the 15-time major champion has already popped the question to marry her. Furthermore, they are also said to be planning to have a wedding this year.
