People have different perspectives about who can possibly be the ‘Greatest of all time’ title worthy. Since there are so many fan favorites throughout all sports, it is difficult to choose just only one of them. Tiger Woods is considered to be the goat by many in golf. However, does he thinks the same? Let’s check it out! 

In a series called ‘A Round With Tiger: Celebrity Lessons,’ Tiger acknowledged whether he felt uncomfortable being called the goat. He said, “I’m not the GOAT.” He was talking to none other than the NBA star Dwayne Wade

Since he didn’t say anything further, Wade wanted to get a clear answer from him. He insisted on knowing why Tiger thinks he is not the goat. The golf legend didn’t lose his calm when he said, “No, I’m not there yet.”

The NBA star tried his maximum to get an answer from Woods. However, the only answer he got out of the golf legend was, “I’m not done.” 

Why do people think Tiger Woods is the goat? 

It is hard to convince hundreds and thousands of people to call one single person a goat. However, in Tiger’s case, people call him that already yet he thinks he is not worthy yet. Although the humility of the legend doesn’t allow him to call it yet, none of the other golf fans think the same.

Woods began his pro career in 1996, and he has been nothing but the best ever since. He has won 82 PGA Tour titles, which is the highest number anyone has ever done. He also has won 15 major wins, and it is the second-best after Jack Nicklaus’ 18. Woods had spent 683 weeks on top of the Official World Golf Rankings.

If none of these records are worth calling him the goat, Woods has also won the first 14 of 26 World Golf Championships since its inception in 1999. He is the only golfer to win claim all four majors consecutively.

Since we all want to watch the class act of golf for a long time, it is a relief to hear him say he is not done yet. However, it is hard not to call him the goat after all that he achieved in the past 26 years.
