Tiger Woods Once Had the Perfect Plan to Surprise His Kids, But Ex Lindsey Vonn Didn’t Approve It

Tiger Woods is probably the greatest golfer of all time. However, he has dealt with numerous issues throughout his life, especially off the golf course. This affected his game for a while before the injuries crept in. Woods was indomitable from around 1999 to 2010. But his performance took a solid blow thanks to all the controversies in his personal life.

Tiger split with his wife, Elin Nordegren, in 2010. The couple had two children and were married for six years. However, after their divorce, their children stayed with Tiger. The couple moved on and remained in touch with each other for their kids. After a while, Woods started dating Lindsey Vonn, the alpine skiing legend.

Once, the 82-time PGA Tour winner wanted to surprise the kids. However, his then-girlfriend, Lindsey Vonn, held him back and asked him to skip this plan.

Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren were doing their best as parents together. Hence, during the summer vacations of both Sam and Charlie, Elin took them to her home country, Sweden. So Woods had planned on surprising the kids by flying over there and visiting them.

Meanwhile, Tiger’s ex-wife, Elin, was completely fine with this idea. She had no issues with the golfer visiting her and the kids in Sweden. However, Woods’ then-girlfriend, Lindsey Vonn, was skeptical about this surprise. Hence, she held Woods back from flying to Sweden.

According to reports, Lindsey was probably not sure about Woods visiting Elin. Although Lindsey had no issues with the golfer surprising his kids, she thought Woods might get back together with his ex-wife if they got to spend some time alone.

Hence, Lindsey insisted on accompanying the golfer to Sweden, but Nordegren was against this idea, as she did not want any interference during her family vacation.

Moreover, after dating for a while, Tiger and Lindsey split in 2015. They announced this publicly and said it was because of their busy schedule. Furthermore, the legendary golfer’s current girlfriend, Erica Herman, has been living with him for over three years. She met the golfer while working at The Woods Jupiter, a restaurant owned by the golfer in Florida.

Erica has also developed good relations with Tiger’s kids, Sam and Charlie. She has given him much-needed stability after all the hardships he faced in his personal life after 2010.
