The former No.1 poured his heart out and expressed his true feeling about Palmer, who was his mentor, a great fellow golfer, and above all, a great friend. Woods also revealed the unknown connection his kids had with Palmer.

After the demise of one of the most charismatic golfers, Arnold Palmer, Tiger Woods, lost a friend and, with a heavy heart, he paid his respects to him. Woods made a statement where he said that Palmer meant more than a friend to him and he was a major part of the game of golf, too.
The five-time green jacket winner used to call Palmer whenever he needed a piece of expert advice on the game. Visiting Bay Hill for the Masters,tournament, he was looking forward to meeting him, but he couldn’t.
Woods said that Palmer was a super special soul, and he touched many people’s lives. His kids have a strange yet beautiful bond with the legend. They were born in his hospital only. Woods said, “My kids were born at the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies.”
Adding to his feelings for Palmer, Woods appreciated his philanthropic work and said that everyone will always remember it. And of course, no one can forget his great game of golf, which inspired many young golfers across the world. Woods said that it was an honor to have a relationship this strong with Palmer. He was extremely grateful to have met Palmer and he learned so much from him.

Dawn of the friendship of Tiger Woods and Arnold Palmer
Both legendary names of the golf world, Woods and Palmer, met for the very first time during the U.S. Junior Amateur at Bay Hill in 1991. Woods won the tournament, which caught Palmer’s eye. After a series of wins by Woods, their bond became stronger when they played together.
They kept meeting at Bay Hill and they also dined together a few times, which included the Champions Dinner at the Masters.
