Tiger Woods is indubitably the best in golf in the last few decades. People think of his name when they hear the word ‘golf’ and the same is also true the other way around. Owing to his legendary feats, the GOAT’s moniker has been used many a time to name newborn babies.
This time it’s different though, it’s not a new-born baby; it’s rather a cute animal that is in need of new owners who can provide for it. The fact it’s named after the golfer has brought it plenty of attention. Let’s find out what this story is all about.

The American golfer has not been much active in the sport for the past couple of years owing to an injury he suffered in an accident. But even so the name of “Tiger Woods” continues to make the headlines one way or the other. The moniker has now been used to name a cat.
The feline buddy, named Tiger Woods, is up for adoption at the Humane Society of Greater Niagara. While the golfer is estimated to be worth at around $1.1 billion, his feline namesake can be saved for a mere $125. Kittens at the Humane Society are put up for adoption at $175 while any felines older than six months are adopted at $125. Aside from cats, they have also put up dogs, which come to $600 for small breed puppies and $500 for large ones, along with rabbits at $40.

Tiger’s tender side in full view: plenty of love for Bugs, Lola, Taz and Yogi
Over the last couple of decades, Tiger Woods has shown he has a soft heart for animals, particularly dogs. His two lovely dogs, named Bugs, a mix of Border Collie with Springer Spaniel, and Lola, an Australian Shepherd, have proved to be much more special to the golfer. The 15-time major winner earlier introduced the golfing world to his two four-legged companions.
He has had a total of four dogs to date, as per reports. The American professional had received a Border Collie on his 30th birthday whom he named Taz. He also had a Labradoodle which he named Yogi. Unfortunately, both of them died as a result of old age after which Bugs and Lola came into the picture.
