With a career spanning over two decades, Tiger Woods’ contribution to the golf world is unbelievable. The 46-year-old icon has been dominating since the 90s, ultimately inspiring countless people to pursue golf. Of course, the PGA Tour might not be what it is today without Woods in the picture.

While one cannot predict when Woods might retire, there is no wrong time to actually honor the living legend.

Having said that, Woods will be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in a few days.

Where is Tiger Woods’ Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony?

Pushed ahead due to the global pandemic, the World Golf Hall of Fame ceremony is now scheduled to take place on March 9, a day before the Players Championship. The venue will be the PGA Tour’s ‘Global Home’ headquarters in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Additionally, Northeast Florida will be hosting the ceremony for the first time since 2013.

The last few events were scheduled in California (2019), New York (2017), and Scotland (2015).

When and how to watch the ceremony?

The ceremony will be aired live on Golf Channel at 7:00 PM EST.

Furthermore, analyst David Feherty will be hosting the event.

Susie Maxwell Berning, Marion Hollins, and Tim Finchem will also be honored alongside Tiger Woods. The ceremony will also recognize and honor Peter Ueberroth and the late Dick Ferris, who will receive the first-ever lifetime achievement awards. These will honor their contributions to the field of golf.

This year will also introduce the Charlie Sifford Award, won by Renee Powell. Another incredible addition, this award will thank the recipient for ‘advancing diversity in golf’.

That being said, Woods was the first person to be selected for the Hall of Fame class. “I am both honored and humbled to be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame,” Woods had said, adding that he had been on the receiving end of overwhelming support.

The award itself is just a result of Woods’ illustrious career, which boasts 82 PGA Tour titles including his 15 major wins. While still recovering, no one can deny what Woods means and will continue to mean to the world of golf. This ceremony is indeed another thoughtful way to honor him.
