The hype is slowly building up in the golf world as the World Wide Technology Championship gets ready to kick off in Mexico. However, joining the anticipation is the veteran of the game, Tiger Woods. The legend seems to be all pumped up for the upcoming event owing to the fulfillment of his own dream venture.
The professional has added another accolade to his name as the golfer put on his architectural hat to pull off an amazing achievement. However, pouring cold water on the same is none other than a certain PGA Tour pro, as he went ahead to take a dig at Mr. T, calling out the Hall of Famer to be “no different” than others, no less!

Woods managed to pull off an amazing feat with his design firm, TGR, to construct the El Cardonal golf course at Diamante Cabo. And the golfer was seen as very eager for the upcoming World Wide Championship, which is all set to start at the Mexican course on November 2. However, Michael Kim wasn’t all praise for the newly designed course, as he took to his social media handle.
Providing his opinion on the same, Kim compared the 82X PGA Tour champ to other golfer-turned-designers such as Jack Niklaus and Greg Norman, who “end up designing courses that fit their game.” Moreover, he pointed out how the El Cardonal is “no different” as it boasts a wide fairway, something that looks good in the designer’s eyes, as he took a subtle jab at the American Ryder Cup star.
Elaborating on the design, the 30-year-old mentioned how it has greens that are “wild” on a lot of holes, all the while alluding to the same as “what separates this course from the rest.” Meanwhile, referring to the roughs, the 1X PGA Tour winner indicated how there is little to nothing of the sort to begin with. However, he was quick to touch on how low the overall scoring would be while dubbing the conditions as “fantastic but a hilly walk.”

Nevertheless, the 15X major winner would have been nothing short of happy, as he would be witnessing his architectural brilliance in play during the upcoming event. And proving us all right was Woods himself, who took to his social media handle!

A little while back, the golfer took to Twitter to express his joy at the El Cardonal course being able to host its first PGA Tour event. The first course designed by the 47-year-old himself, as part of the Diamante Resort situated on the Pacific side of Cabo San Lucas, boasts a larger layout than the Marco Simone that saw the year’s Ryder Cup take place.
