Tiger Woods’ Former Coach Strongly Defends Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson Amid Ongoing Debate

The Official World Golf ranking issue that surrounds the world of golf has heightened in the last few weeks. Both the PGA Tour and LIV Golf’s sides have presented their notion in this debate. While some people close to the world of golf support LIV Golf players getting world ranking points, others have reasoned out their reservations. Recently, renowned golf instructor, Hank Haney, tweeted about the same. He made sure to prove his stance by giving two popular examples, Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson.

Hank is famously known for being Tiger Woods’s coach. He believes in empowering his students in a way that they become efficient enough to guide themselves through life.

Call it his mastery or just years of experience, Haney is sure of what his stance is on the issue of OWGR new system of ranking players. He believes that it should be the ability of the player that is used to rank them. Only then would the system truly reflect the best players in the world in an order that the OWGR is set up to achieve.

He said, “Shouldn’t the goal of the OWGR be to accurately reflect how the best players in the world rank? Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson are clearly much better players than they are ranked, and so are many others.”

He made sure to strengthen his argument by adding strong examples of golf world legendary players, Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson. As per the latest ranking, highly skilled players like the aforementioned have dropped down the list. Brooks Koepka is set to finish outside the Top 50. Even after being a house of talent.

This very fact does not sit well with Hank Haney. Considering, the main aim of OWGR is the transparent ranking of the best players based on skill. However, LIV defectors are at a clear disadvantage. Especially, when it comes to how things have been going on right now.
