When Tiger Woods became a professional in 1996, he was a mere 20. With a big smile, he greeted the media and said, “I guess hello world, huh.” Since then, the golfer has won 82 times on the PGA Tour and 15 major championships, solidifying his reputation as one of the finest to swing a club. Star comedian, Nate Bargatze, took note of Woods’ greeting, and it became a brand.

Woods has been an idol for many athletes and young golfers. His tricks, form, and consistent hard work make people want to become like him. And we cannot deny that. He has been an excellent golfer and an excellent father. Despite suffering injuries, he played with his son in the PNC Championship of 2022. However, more than just the athletes or young golfers followed him. His effect has reached the world of comedy too.

Bargatze went on ‘The Tonight Show, Starring Jimmy Fallon’ yesterday. He revealed how the name of his special show was because of Woods.

Did Tiger Woods inspire the star comedian?

An avid golf fan, comedian Nate Bargatze used that famous introduction as the inspiration for his new comedy special, ‘Hello World.’ He chose the name because he “wanted a nice greeting.” The comedy king further revealed why his show’s title was connected to the pro golfer. “It’s also a nod to Tiger Woods.” The way Woods greeted for the first time and “Hello World” became famous, Bargatze hoped the same for his show.

However, Jimmy Fallon pointed out the photo of them together. They were sharing the frame but were standing far apart. He asked the comedian if he even met Woods for real. Bargatze replied, “He didn’t know I was there. I just went there, and I stood next to him and just looked like, “Hey, we’re just two buds hanging out.”
