The legendary golfer had his divorce sorted out in public with his then-wife Elin Nordegren. Back in 2014, nearly four years after her divorce, Elin Nordegren graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. She graduated after completing her degree in psychology and also received the outstanding senior award.

She and Woods broke up after 6 years of marriage. Their divorce caught a lot of media attention and was widely regarded as one of the biggest divorce cases in the United States.

The Swedish model enjoyed a private life during her marriage to Tiger Woods. However, she revealed all her secrets during her graduation speech. But the one thing she shared reached out to everyone’s heart.

The 42-year-old mentioned the component that has kept her mentally strong. Nordegren shared how her psychology class had been very effective in her personal life.

She said, “My psychology and law class helped me through one of some of the most challenging times in my life that involved legal matters. The information not only helped me understand the complexity of the legal system but it also offered me a place in peace in the wild storm of my personal life.”

Nordegren further added, “I have also realized that education has been the only consistent part of my life for the last nine years and it has offered me comfort because education is the one thing that no one can take away from you.”

Although Nordegren hinted that she has kept quiet about her 2010 divorce from Woods, she did mention how difficult it was for her to deal with all the media attention at the time.

It was great on behalf of Rollins college who gave Nordegren another opportunity. Moreover, she graduated with a GPA of 3.96 which allowed her to complete her further education. However, the psychology degree from Florida college was her last endeavor in education. Her successes provide evidence of her resilience under trying situations.
