The legendary golfer, Tiger Woods, is probably at the lowest point of his career. However, one cannot forget the dominance he showed from 1997 until 2010. During those 13 years, he won the majority of his 82 PGA Tour trophies. Hence, Woods has built a solid legacy on the PGA Tour, which is unparallel.

Moreover, Tiger has spent 281 consecutive weeks and 683 weeks in total as the world’s No. 1 golfer. There is no golfer close to him, as the next best is Greg Norman, with 331 weeks. However, Woods has entered a new low in his career recently by reaching an all-time lowest world rankings.
Tiger Woods drops to his lowest OWGR ranking ever
We all know the incredible achievements of Tiger Woods as a golfer. However, post-2010, he battled injuries and other issues that affected his game. Recently, Woods was involved in a solo car crash that damaged his leg. This incident has shortened his golfing career, as the injury has left him with an enormous scar.
Hence, for all these reasons, Tiger could not compete and play professional golf. Therefore, his OWGR suffered as he reached the lowest-ever ranking in his career. According to OWGR, Tiger Woods is ranked 1102 and may drop even lower by the end of 2022. Additionally, before this, the golfer had never dropped out of the top 1000 rankings.
Meanwhile, Tiger made a decent recovery and competed in three events this year. All three of these events were major championships where he made the cut at the Masters, withdrew after round three at the PGA Championship, and missed the cut at the Open Championship.
Since then, the 15-time major championship winner hasn’t competed and will probably not compete until November or December. Hence, we can expect his ranking to go lower than this, which is disappointing for all Tiger fans.

The OWGR rewards in-form and consistent golfers with points, and these points eventually determine a player’s ranking. Moreover, Scottie Scheffler is the world’s No. 1 golfer presently as he has won three events, including a major championship this season.
However, all fans must understand that we cannot judge Tiger on OWGR. He may have reached the lowest ranking of his career and may drop further down because of his age and injuries. But whatever Tiger Woods has achieved since day one of his golfing career is unfathomable.
