The Tiger Slam is a term made only for the 15-time major winner, honoring the time he won all four major titles consecutively. It was the first time such a feat was achieved, and everyone looked to celebrate Woods‘ win. Of course, selling an item from this iconic moment would only raise its value.

How much did Tiger Woods clubs sell for?

As per reports, the clubs finally sold for $5.15 million. Interestingly, it would also make millions for Todd Brock, who had purchased the irons back in 2013 for $57,242. “I bought them at the best time, when Tiger was at his low point, and I might have sold them at the best time,” Brock said while in conversation with Action Network.

The hike in price only proves that Woods’ memorabilia is popular, and the cost of genuine items has increased over the past few years. They were bought when Woods had a low point in his career, which Scott was told is an excellent time to make purchases.

Back then, Scott also believed the clubs were for $1 million. “But then I looked at them in my office every day and I kind of thought to keep it in there was kind of greedy,” Brock said. “Let someone else enjoy them”.

Is this the most expensive sports memorabilia sold?

Interestingly, $5.15 million is a new record for golf memorabilia. The previous item was a Horton Smith Green Jacket, which sold for $682,000 in 2013. This might also just be the third most expensive non-sports memorabilia sold. The most expensive being the Olympic manifesto for $8 million, and Babe Ruth’s Yankees jersey for $5.54 million.
