Has the golf world come to associate furious with Phil Mickelson? The recent activities of the 52-year-old golfer on Twitter definitely portray so! It hasn’t even been a week and Mickelson is back with another strong comment. It can be said that the bold and confronting personality he is known for, does him justice.
The 6 time major winner did not falter from taking a jab at the media personnel Brandel Chamblee, again. However, this time the bold comment was carefully wrapped in a cloak of sympathy.

The battle of words on Twitter between Mickelson and golf analyst Brandel Chamblee, has taken a new subtle turn. This time it was Karen Crouse and the author of ‘Troublemaker‘ Lisa Cornwell who took to their respective handles to stand against Eamon Lynch. Crouse had tagged the commentator and suggested that he read Lisa’s book which he might find worth a read.
However, Lynch strongly highlighted the suspension of the journalist from the New York Times and believed that Crouse was in ‘no position to lecture anyone‘. Well! Cornwell couldn’t be a bystander when her name was mentioned. Thus, the sports anchor called out the co-host of Golf Today and marked the tone as ‘hateful‘. She said, “Was it the “serious journalist” part that set you off, Eamon? I actually think she was being sincere. Meanwhile, you go into attack mode.”
Yet! All this has not taken center stage. It was Phil Mickelson’s input into the conversation which gathered the attention of everyone as it took a pale dig at Chamblee.
Lisa and Karen,
This is just who this guy is. Chapter 13 of your new book talks about Brandel, Eamonn is no different. I’m sorry you both have to deal with them.
Wishing you both the best with the book and your careers.— Phil Mickelson (@PhilMickelson) May 30, 2023
The 6-time major championship winner cruised into the conversation and provided his sympathy to Lisa and Karen. He said, “Lisa and Karen, This is just who this guy is. Chapter 13 of your new book talks about Brandel, Eamonn is no different. I’m sorry you both have to deal with them. Wishing you both the best with the book and your careers.” While Mickelson didn’t directly criticize the former golfer Brandel Chamblee, he sure made a comparison that implied the same.
The stretched-out dynamics of Mickelson and Chamblee feud
Even though the war of comments between the two professionals is not new, it recently reignited, and came down with doubled force. Many remarks have been exchanged to and fro and they have held their fair share of criticism. However, just a few days back a furious comment from Mickelson proved that the feud might be more personal and serious than it appears.

The tweet was presented by the LIV golfer as an answer to the challenge proposed by the golf analyst. He appeared to be exasperated by all the attacks from Chamblee’s side. It is no news that the golf analyst has earlier shown some strong opinions when it comes to LIV Golf and its players. However, Mickelson has never backed down from issuing his own strikes.
The 2013 Open Championship winner exchanged a fiery comment and said, “Brandel sits on his golf channel set tearing everyone apart with no one challenging him.” Well! It seems that now Mickelson has taken up this role. Just like this time, he brought Eamon Lynch into his attacking range as well. “Maybe Eamon lynch can come to his defense again, ” said the LIV Golf pro.
