Tiger Woods has won 82 times on the PGA Tour with three different caddies by his side. You have probably heard of Steve Williams and Woods countless times. But who was caddying for him in his initial years when he was as green as they come?
It was Mike ‘Fluff’ Cowan who accompanied him for 4 years on the course. As the US Open shared a throwback picture, the fans got nostalgic about the old duo.

Tiger Woods made his debut in 1996. Turning professional after winning the Amateur US Open thrice, he was in desperate need of an experienced caddy. Around the same time, Cowan was leaving Peter Jacobson’s bag.
He immediately accepted Woods’ offer and caddied for him from 1996 to 1999. In that short period, Woods won the 1997 Masters under Fluff’s guidance. The duo could not go on for long though and eventually parted ways. Woods then hired Steve Williams as a caddy and Cowan moved on to Jim Furyk’s bag.
With time, Cowan appears to have lost his relevance as Tiger Woods’ caddie. However, the US Open reminded the fans of Tiger’s early days. Sharing a photo of Mike Fluff Cowan holding a cigarette in his mouth while an attentive Woods listened, they asked the fans to give a suitable caption to the picture.?

Looking at the iconic picture, the fans came up with hilarious captions that go extremely well with the image. There were some interesting comments too.
Mike Fluff Cowan questioning Woods’ laying-up abilities?
According to this fan, Fluff was probably telling Woods to wait and let him smoke in peace, and after that, they could resume play. Not too far from the mark!
“Let me take another puff and then I’ll tell you where to hit it”

Another connected Cowan with John Daly as smoking is something people relate to him and said Cowan surely planned to meet Daly that weekend. Good attempt at captioning here, no?
I'll be hanging out with John Daly again this weekend.

This fan noted Woods’ T-shirt and remembered his own Tiger tee collections. There is not a Tiger fan who doesn’t have some of his signature collections.?

Another fan mimicking Cowan assumed that he told Tiger he had laying-up issues.
You can’t lay up, it’s not ur style😜

As the cigarette was unlit and Cowan moved to Furyk eventually, this fan said sarcastically that Jim always carried a ‘lighter’.
