Over the years, there has been a lot of debate around a Twitter account that was thought to be pro-Patrick Reed. Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee speculated live on air in January 2021 that Justine Reed, the wife of PGA Tour player Patrick Reed, might have been using that Twitter handle for posting. This led to speculation that Justine Reed was running a burner account to defend her husband and attack his critics on social media.
The PGA Championship in 2022 paved the way for the account to come under the spotlight for its outspoken views. The Twitter handle is once again making headlines, almost a year after it first gained notoriety.

Due to its ups and downs, the 2023 Masters, which ended more than a week ago, has been in the news. This year’s Masters has once again been thrust into the limelight by the recently concluded RBC Heritage. Based on the field ratings, The Masters and The Heritage are in stark contrast.
In a recent tweet by GolfFACTS, the account which is supposedly handled by Mrs. Reed, the field rating comparison between the two tournaments was questioned. The tweet asked how OWGR has given higher field ratings to RBC Heritage than the Masters. It was shown that the field rating of the RBC Heritage is much more than the recently ended Masters. The tweet read: “Can OWGR explain how the RBC HILTON HEAD had a HIGHER field rating THAN THE MASTERS!!!! This should be a crime.”
Can @OWGRltd explain how the RBC HILTON HEAD had a HIGHER field rating THAN THE MASTERS!!!! This should be a crime. This week’s PGA TOUR “designated” event included 46 players over 200th in the world;
9 over 300th
4 over 400th
5 over 500th
1 over 600th
2 over 800th
4 over 1500th pic.twitter.com/D3KeA92h5r— GolfFACTS (@useGolfFACTS) April 17, 2023
This Twitter account has always been in news for its controversial tweets. Justine Reed never publicly accepted or denied her involvement in the burner account allegations.

Bigger field and no LIV with collapsing rankings . It's not a science .
— Big ron fae the rigs (@ron_dickie) April 17, 2023
The blame could be on Patrick Reed too.
Maybe Patrick Reed playing caused it to fall?
— Sean (@splattmufc) April 17, 2023
A person felt she was defending LIV players.
Looks like you are defending Liv players 😴😴😴😴😴
— John Meikle (@m30kle) April 17, 2023
The more elaborate reason.
Its easy the Masters is one of weaker events due to field size and older players.
