Is Bryson DeChambeau's golf roulette a stroke of genius or just plain reckless?

If there is one thing people love about Bryson DeChambeau other than his performance on the greens, it is his content. He has managed to garner a whopping 1.7 million followers on his Instagram account taking up new challenges every day. While most of them are interesting, some are pretty harsh for him. Nonetheless, the LIV Golfer always does perform it. His recent challenge left him with an insufferable pain and a mark that would be there for a while.

Bryson DeChambea took his competitive edge to a thrilling new game: “golf roulette.” This high-stakes twist on dodgeball and golf was showcased in a collaboration video with Good Good Golf. The game involved spinning a bottle on the green to determine the “thrower,” who would then launch a projectile at the others, who would try to dodge the incoming object. The projectiles ranged from tennis balls to, most memorably, an egg.

While the Scientist got some great shots for himself during the entire session, one played a big trick on him. As one of the guys flipped the bottle and others ran away trying to dodge the egg shot, this one hit him pretty badly in the back. So much that it left him with a red mark. The Golf Digest took to their official Instagram account and posted a clip. They captioned it, Bryson is putting his body on the line for the content game. 😂”

Well, now it seems that 2x US Open winner and content goes hand in hand. Fans are loving his content, beit on Instagram or YouTube. His growth on social media has been exponential, more so after his victory at Pinehurst this year. He has 1.58 million subscribers on YouTube, and growth chart is only upwards.

“I want to have a relationship with fans so they can know the true me,” DeChambeau said. “I’m playing to entertain and inspire a new generation, and my mindset has shifted to where I can look into a camera and see those people.” He sure is inspiring people, and he loves what he do, and it shows!

The golf roulette was indeed a rather weird challenge, and well watching Bryson DeChambeau with such a terrible mark, left the entire golf community confused.

At the LIV Golf event in Illinois in 2022, Bryson DeChambeau attempted to duck away from a rope right after he hit his ball on the fourteenth hole. However, he still managed to come up way too high. This resulted in the rope racking right against his eye. He hit the flagstick with the approach shot that preceded the rope incident and made an 8-foot birdie putt. DeChambeau finished 6-under and in a tie for 10th place. However, the incident left him over dramatic as he kept shouting that the rope split his eyes.

This time, when the egg hit the ball, Bryson DeChambeau managed to take it in a better way, without throwing tantrums according to the golf world. He smiled and showed off the mark that was left due to the challenge. Taking to this, one of them asked, Did it hurt worse than the rope that attacked his face?” While another fansstated, “He took the egg better than he did the rope,” and “So, rope hurts more than egg.” DeChambeau was not upset after getting hit with an egg, so he did take it better than the rope.

The challenge was a rather risky one as compared to his other challenges. Take his Break 50 or Making the Putt challenges for example. All one has to do is aim for the hole and put the ball. The worst that could happen is the ball will not make it to the marked position. However, in golf roulette, there are high chances of people getting hurt easily. Taking to this, people left comments like, Yeah this is stupid,” “This is dumb,” “That’s some dumb sh*t” and “That’s a shot I would never want to get in front of 😮”.

Tom “Bubbie” Broders from Good Good Golf is known for his outrageous shots. Last year in March, he shot a Texas Wedge, which is generally slang for a shot that has been a mainstay in the tournaments for decades. The golfer has to hit a putter off the green rather than a wedge. Well, in the challenge, he was the one making the shot, and that too from a smaller distance. This worried the fans all the more. One of them commented, “@bubbiegolf the best person to throw that lmao from 4 feet away no less” “Leave it to bubbie to smoke Bryson” and @bubbiegolf fucked him up with that egg 😂”
