She took to her Instagram story to share a screenshot of the fan’s message, expressing her disbelief at the situation. In her witty response, she wrote, “I’ve got fake accounts playing Scrabble now. This is getting insane. Please block and report all fake accounts. Thank you.”

It’s not uncommon for celebrities to encounter fake accounts on social media, but the idea of someone impersonating Spiranac in a word game raises the absurdity for the ex-pro golfer to a whole new level.

Paige Spiranac warns her fans of imposters

In an episode of her podcast, ‘Playing A Round,’ Spiranac addressed the challenge of dealing with these fraudulent accounts. The downside of her fame is the daily task of reporting fake accounts, a staggering number reaching up to 20 per day.

To help her supporters differentiate between real and fake accounts, Spiranac provided valuable advice. She emphasized that any communication not originating from her verified account should be disregarded.

She also highlighted the importance of identifying poorly structured sentences and grammatical mistakes commonly found in scammers’ messages. Spiranac humorously questioned whether she would communicate at a kindergarten level, finding such attempts offensive.

Regrettably, there have been instances where individuals have used Spiranac’s name to solicit money from others. She has shared these incidents on her podcast and social media platforms to raise awareness among her followers.
