Life after retirement is pretty chilled out! An athlete’s life post-retirement is similar, but it is not as laidback as of non-athlete’s. One golfer who has recently stepped into retirement life is the former LPGA phenom, Michelle Wie West. After many accolades and records to her name, Wie hung up her clubs this year in June after her final tournament at Pebble Beach.

The LPGA trailblazer is settling in well in her post-retirement life. She is enjoying time with her loved ones, engaging in philanthropic work, and supporting her peers. Oh, and she is indulging in some good ol’ self-care too!

Michelle Wie West is one of the names in the golf fraternity that everyone knows. Her decision to retire from professional golf was not a shocking one as she announced it after having her daughter, Makenna, in 2020. But when the time of retirement came, it indeed was an emotional moment for the golfer herself, her peers, and her fans.

It has not been almost two months since her final event, the Women’s US Open, and she is stepping into her post-retirement well, and wanting to try a lot of different things. Recently, the 33-year-old star shared yet another glimpse of her life with her fans on social media. 

On Instagram, the former golf pro shared a story of an “anti-aging” skin treatment that was enjoying at a skincare clinic. Posting the video of the monitor, she wrote, “Infrared plus red light therapy for anti aging @sunlightensaunas.”

The 1X major winner went to Sunlighten Saunas for some long-due self-care after her epic Australia trip. Going for this overdue session helped her feel less jetlagged, and bloated. Elated by her results, she referred to the center as her “new happy place.” Self-care isn’t the only thing that Wie West is indulging in these days. She has been trying her hands out at other various activities in her retirement life.

In just two months of her retirement, the former professional golfer has done a lot of things. She has been showing immense support to her juniors in the golf world and has been bestowing them with kind words. Not just this, the golfer even tried her hands out in tennis. West went to Australia with Nike to witness the live magic of the FIFA Women’s World Cup, and described her experience as epic!

Just recently, she also wanted to try her hands out at the new sport, Pickleball, after being mesmerized by Venus Williams’ charm playing it. She excitedly asked the tennis star if she could play with her sometime!
