This year’s most prestigious golf event, the Ryder Cup, has concluded with the European side being victorious. Unfortunately for the US, they couldn’t retain the trophy and will now have to wait two years before they can avenge their defeat. Even though Rome brought so many difficulties to the US team, it brought many joys as well. 

And the Ryder Cup’s most controversial pick, Justin Thomas experienced his share of joys during the trip which led to a professional PGA golfer asking him a hilarious question. Thomas’ answer will tickle your funny bone!

Justin Thomas has fun at the expense of Jordan Spieth

Concerns over JT’s credentials erupted when he was chosen for the biennial event. The reason was that Thomas had been in poor form prior to the Cup. Many thought that his inclusion was a massive blunder by captain Zach Johnson.

However, JT excelled in singles matches on the final day and overcame Sepp Straka by a score of 2-up. In all he earned 1.5 points. Even though his team was unable to keep the Cup, the competition gave American golfers a wonderful chance to experience Italian culture firsthand.

Thomas later took a tour of Italy. He shared his visit to Florence on Instagram, where he posted pictures of the beautiful city. Since Italy is famous for its sculptures, this PGA Tour golfer had a genuine question. Min Woo Lee asked Thomas, ”Did they make a sculpture of you?” To it, JT replied, ”They tried to, but it ended up being @jordanspieth instead.” 

Jordan Spieth and Thomas have comparable faces which you can notice if you look at them closely. Thomas appears to be aware of this. However, it also appears that Lee is highly active on social media and frequently expresses his opinions there. Here is a previous instance where his comment caught the eye.

Last month, Charlie Woods won a regional event in the presence of his father, Tiger Woods. His photos were shared on Instagram. Junior Woods was seen shooting some lovely strokes. Min Woo Lee saw something totally different.

When all is said and done, we are glad to see that JT got some time to relax and enjoy his trip. And that he wasn’t depressed despite being on the losing team.
