The trickiest ladder to climb in any profession is that of success. However, what’s trickier is to stay at the top once you’ve reached it. Interestingly, Nelly Korda understands that no one can ever remain at the top, or even stagnant. As mortals, we are all involved in the ever-revolving cycle of life.

When one adds this tough yet magical truth of life to the inevitable ups and downs that fame brings forth, a really intense situation arises. Such was the case with Nelly. The professional golfer revealed her opinion on fame a couple of years back. Here’s what she feels.

The hard work put in by the 25-year-old golf sensation has placed her at the peak in her profession. Her magical shots have helped her rise to immense glory in the sport. Despite her rise to LPGA cover girl status, Nelly Korda still has an aversion to the world of fame.

In the Fairgame Podcast held a couple of years ago, the then-23-year-old revealed her approach to tackling fame. She clarified that the burrows of fame are as deep as the happiness they bring forth in one’s life. Therefore, Korda chooses to not bury herself in the unsteady depths of fame, and the teachings imparted by her family help her to do so.

Nelly Korda said, “I just try to keep it so easy. Like, I don’t talk about it. You know, people get so sucked into the fame sometimes that they lose themselves. And I think you never know what’s gonna happen. Like, I’m still 23. That’s still pretty young for the tour. And I just try to enjoy every single moment of this ranking and this experience because you know, it can be taken away so fast, too.” She spoke about how her mother and her family has taught her to be grounded. “The competition on every tour is getting so good, um, between everyone…but, as a family we’ve always been taught to be very humble.”

The fact that she realizes the importance of the non-permanence of status and fame makes her an expert in dealing with the highs and lows of the ever-moving golf world.
