The 15th edition of the Presidents Cup is to kickstart from September 26 to September 29 at the Royal Montreal Golf Club. Both the American and the European teams have reached the venue for their practice rounds along with captains Jim Furyk and Mike Weir. While they are laboriously at play trying to get hold of the trophy on Sunday, the organizers have been arranging some recreational activities for the team members to take their minds off any stress.
While the International team members were engaged in entertaining quizzes, the American players, including some from past editions, were put up with an activity along with their better halves. They were all asked to paint pictures of themselves on the provided canvases. Later on, they posed with the painting and their wives and girlfriends.
The PGA Tour collaborated with the official Instagram page of the Presidents Cup and posted seventeen out of the twenty-six golfers with their hilarious paintings. “Paintings worth a thousand laughs”, they wrote.

The post began with Scottie Scheffler holding the painting that displayed him wearing the USA cap and jersey. Beside him stood his wife, Meredith Scheffler, along with his baby, Benett. From Sahith Theegala to Russell Henley to Xander Schauffele, all of them posed their wives and paintings. The post ended with Justin Leonard and his wife posing.

All the seventeen paintings posted on the Instagram wall were hilariously insane. And well, it was pretty evident that none of them could paint. However, they put in all their effort along with their loved ones but failed to make it look like a great painting. Taking to this, one of the fans, grateful for their strategic games, replied, “At least they’re good at golf 😂”

One picture that stood out was the one with Patrick Cantlay holding his pharmacist wife Nikki Guidish. The American professional has large ears, and, well, funnily enough, the picture had two disproportionate ears, larger than the face. That was what stood out in the entire painting. The ears were so prominent that a lot of the fans noticed it. One of them even commented, “They did Cantlay dirty with those ears,” in a fun tone.
However, there was one professional painter in the lot. Russell Henley is married to the love of his life, Teil Duncan. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in art. At present, she works as a full-time painter in South Carolina and has a successful website.
Taking to this, one of them complimenting her artwork, simply wrote, “Love this! And of course, @teilart – Russell’s wife knocked it out of the park!!!🔥 she’s so talented!!!” Another posing a question said, “Guess which one is the professional painter???!”

Max Homa has not changed his Instagram display picture since 2022. His picture has him posing with the Wells Fargo trophy that he had won in May of that year, defeating Keegan Bradley with one stroke. One of them suggested that it was time he changed the picture. He could use the painting instead. They commented, “That painting needs to be @max.homa’s new profile picture”.
