LIV Golf has been creating controversies since the day it was first launched. The Saudi-backed league has successfully lured out the best players to join in at the cost of leaving the PGA Tour. And all of this has been possible because of the mastermind behind LIV Golf – its CEO, Greg Norman. And through his recent Instagram post, Norman has attacked the PGA Tour once again.

Greg Norman took a shot at the PGA Tour
The controversy between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf doesn’t seem to end even after such a long time. Players are continuously drifting towards the new Saudi-funded league and giving up on their PGA Tour legacies. And to protect the PGA Tour, Jay Monahan has suspended the memberships of all these players. Only a few talented golfers remain on the former tour.

But Greg Norman is still not giving up on attacking the PGA Tour with his never ending comments about it. He recently posted a picture of Cameron Smith holding up a trophy after his first victory at a LIV Golf event. Smith recently won $6 million along with his first LIV Golf title soon after he joined the league.

And this has given Norman a chance to boast his league yet again over the PGA Tour. He made some strong statements in his caption indicating how LIV Golf is better at taking care of the players than the PGA Tour. He wrote, “Their families are happy. Their wives are happy. Their caddies are happy. The (LIV Golf) team is a family…This has never happened on the PGA Tour.”

What did Norman say about accountability?
Greg Norman has been clear with his statements since the beginning. He has claimed the LIV Golf tour to be the future of golf several times. However, he understands that the ongoing situations are challenging and the fans are still questioning the league. He wrote, “The fans hold us all accountable. They are holding the PGA Tour accountable. They are holding the OWGR accountable.”
But he also added that two of the world’s best golfers and former PGA Tour members were now playing on the LIV Golf tour. His statements were about Cameron Smith and former World No. 1 Dustin Johnson. However, it doesn’t change the fact that LIV Golf is still not fully accepted by the fans. But there has certainly been a little change in people’s perspectives about the new league.
