Minjee Lee threw light on what her early years in the golfing world looked like, stating, “Obviously early on it was mostly about golf. I was trying to keep my heart. Everybody goes through that as a rookie.” She further elaborated and added that as a young player, she was able to settle into the hustle-bustle of professional golf after she took a little time for herself and for doing things that she liked.

The golfing professional talked about her current state of mind while on the greens and added that she likes her golfing routine because it works for her and her body. Minjee mentioned, “I don’t just go out to the golf course to hit a hundred putts or do practice that is not worthy of time.”

Minjee, as a golfer, has always had a motto. The LPGA Pro wants to leave the tour (whenever she does) in a better state than she found it. “..that is my goal after I retire,” the fairway artist added.

Adding on to this, the player concluded by saying that she wants to give back something to the world of golf in any way that she can. “If it is on [the] golf course or how I am as a role model… anything that I can do to give back to Australian golf or LPGA girls’ golf or any junior who comes out to watch us, I’m going to try and do that,” the golfer concluded.

Minjee Lee’s win at the LPGA BMW Ladies Championship in Korea won her a fat purse of $330,000. Her gameplay was appreciated by her opponent American Pro Alison Lee, who finished second. Here’s what Alison had to say about Minjee’s game.

The player praised Minjee in her answer and said, “…really happy for Minjee. She obviously played really well,” referring to how Minjee stole a win from under her nose.

The competition between the two players was a dead heat, and their performances were commendable as the two were battling at a close call till the very end. Minjee’s strategy let her have the win, while Alison’s late bogey on the 16th hole set her back in the play.
