Professional rivalry is a part of the life of a sports entity. After one becomes popular, he would earn more foes than friends from his sport. And Tiger Woods is considered the greatest of all time. “The reason Tiger dislikes him is that,” Earl Woods said. “In the clubhouse once, he saw Sergio looking up at a television monitor and rooting somebody’s golf ball out of the hole.”
“That’s why he has no use for Sergio,” Earl added to show his determination. The excerpt is included in ‘His Father’s Son: Earl and Tiger Woods,’ a biography written about the golf legend’s father by Tom Callahan.

Their professional rivalry began when Woods won the 1999 PGA Championship against Garcia with a one-shot lead. The latter felt embarrassed after Woods signed a hat for him. However, Garcia later made it even by winning a TV event in 2000 against Tiger.
